Rules and regulations with investment opportunity

The evolution of the French regulation becomes more favourable to the renewable energy sources and allows the investment opportunities for the solar photovoltaic systems.
EDF, or any other local electricity agency, has obligation to buy the electricity during 20 years at a production price of 0.31 € / kWh in the case of a standard photovoltaic system and 0.57 € / kWh in the case of a building integrated photovoltaic system (BIPV e.g. roof tiles, glass roof). The solar photovoltaic systems of 3 kWp or less have the advantage of a VAT at 5.5% for every building older than 2 years, with a ROI of 10 years.
Companies and local authorities have the advantage of a special depreciation over 12 months.

Diminution immédiate du Crédit d'Impôt Le taux applicable aux équipements photovoltaïques est ramené de 50% à 25% pour les dépenses payées à compter du 29 septembre 2010. Les contribuables pouvant justifier de l’acceptation d’un devis et du versement d’un acompte, à l’entreprise réalisant les travaux, avant cette date bénéficient encore du crédit d’impôt au taux de 50%.
